Land Acknowledgement and Commitment to Reconciliation:

We honour Moh’kinstsis, which is located on the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy. We are grateful to be surrounded by the diverse beauty of the mountains, prairies, foothills and rivers. We honour the Indigenous Peoples of this land which includes the Kainai, Siksika and Piikani First Nations, as well as the Tsuut’ina, the Stoney Nakoda and the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6). It is on this land, where we endeavor to support all people to live in relation to each other and the land.

We grieve the injustices that have been and continue to be done to this land and the original people and commit to learning and walking alongside Indigenous people. Our journey towards truth and reconciliation is ongoing; we recognize the monumental nature of the journey. We commit to learning the truth from the past, building trust and accountability with the Indigenous community in the present, to create a just and equitable future for many generations to come.
