Watch Kindred's Brand Story
Welcome to Kindred. We’re glad you’re here.
At Kindred, we’re convinced the key to living well is healthy relationships with self, family, and others. But relationships are complicated and sometimes we find ourselves in vulnerable places, disconnected from those who matter most.
Kindred’s purpose is to realize the power of human connection, and it shapes everything we do. Whether nuclear or chosen, family is the most important relationship in a person’s life. So, we invest in the special bond between children and those that care for them. We provide road maps toward healing when essential relationships are ruptured. And we understand that accessing timely mental health support can inspire confidence with self and others. Healthy human connection is possible, and together we can realize it.
We all need help from time to time. No one is immune to loss, grief, or heartbreak, and no one has all the answers on how to be a good parent, how to have difficult conversations, how to love and be loved.
Ways to Help?
Realizing the power of human connection takes many forms – sometimes helping and sometimes needing help. It all comes down to understanding our place in our shared humanity and being there for one another. Learn how volunteers and donors are essential to our purpose.
For over 65-years we’ve been serving our community on the fundamental belief that human connection is essential for our health and well-being. We all deserve it and we can all realize it.
If you decide to talk to someone and you have to wait a month, you can lose hope. With Rapid Access Counselling, it’s nice that it can just happen. When the help is there and is reliable and accessible, you don’t give up! I can’t take a whole afternoon to travel to see someone, but this was easy. I didn’t have to juggle the kids and get a babysitter. I just had to find an empty room and be near my iPad, and it was such a positive and hopeful experience. The strategies the counsellor gave me are simple enough to do, and they work! I’ve gained a new outlook.
